Employment litigation and counsel
Practice Areas
Polauf Law represents both employers and employees in Connecticut employment matters: litigation in state court, proceedings before the CHRO, EEOC, and Connecticut Department of Labor, and advice and counsel on the decisions and documents that precede a dispute. My practice is organized into four areas.
Plaintiff-Side Employment Litigation
Representing employees in wage, discrimination, and contract claims in Connecticut state court and before the CHRO, EEOC, and Connecticut Department of Labor.
Employment Litigation Defense
Defending employers and businesses in employment disputes, agency proceedings, and civil litigation.
Management-Side Advice & Counsel
Compliance guidance for Connecticut employers on termination, leave, accommodation, and documentation.
Employee Rights Advice & Counsel
Counsel before you respond to HR, sign a release, or file with the CHRO.
These four areas represent the matters I handle most often; secondary practice areas include commercial litigation and administrative law. They are not claims of certified specialization under state bar rules. For rates and fee structures, see Fees & Services.
